loveparade may be over for a lot of old fans but may be the “partysanen, germany” have started something that could be repeated next year. A big show where people can meet, dance and talk about the good old loveparading days. (11.July 2009 in Berlin)

It is very symbolic by the way that the annual “popkomm” has been cancelled officially because there were not enough participants. I (Mike) read an article recently where they talked about a probable “licence-flatrate” which everyone grown up has to pay. Like a monthly support tax or an annual fee for watching Free-TV - It would mean that everybody from a certain age on would pay a “flatrate” for the music, the film and the piece of art he´s downloading. I somehow like the idea because it would stop all these discussions about who get s what and what is allowed to be downloaded. Otherwise I see the gap between the ones who download illegally and the ones who create gets bigger and bigger.  Parties like “The Pirate Party” wouldn´t need to exist.

Creativity is a luxury nowadays because you never know when you get paid for it. So, who s going to be creative in the future? or do we already accept an average product as a very good piece of art? In this case then it would not matter who creates what anymore. It all becomes a melting pot - like a good “poutine” and I don t really want to know what is all in there because I believe that I still have a good taste.
